Dubai Crown Prince visits Aster Pharmacy distribution centre in UAE
Dubai Crown Prince, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed visited the Aster Pharmacy distribution centre in Dubai Industrial City. During the visit, he was presented with the facility's operations and the services of the Aster network in the United Arab Emirates and the Persian Gulf countries.
Distribution centre operations
The centre covers an area of 145,000 square feet. As The National reports, the centre processes around 75,000 transactions daily through the Aster network in the UAE.
This network includes 350 pharmacies, 120 medical clinics and 15 hospitals. Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the centre's strategy aimed at improving efficiency, as well as faster and more accurate distribution of medicines.

Cooperation in healthcare
The Crown Prince stressed the importance of the private sector for developing an efficient and reliable healthcare system. He also noted the need for cooperation between the public and private sectors to provide quality services and supply the population with medicines and medical products.
Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied during the visit by Aster DM Healthcare founder and chairman Dr Azad Moopen, as well as managing director and group CEO Alisha Moopen.
