The Crown Princess of Norway urgently needs a lung transplant
The Norwegian royal family has announced a serious deterioration in Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s health. Doctors have concluded that she needs a lung transplant and have already placed her on the list of patients awaiting an organ transplant.
This was announced by the Norwegian royal family.
According to doctors, the 52-year-old Crown Princess’s lung disease is progressing, so the transplant must be performed as soon as possible. From now on, Mette-Marit will be unable to perform her official duties or participate in public events until the operation takes place.
Due to the Crown Princess’s health condition, the royal family has already made changes to the schedule of official events. In particular, the celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary of Crown Prince Haakon and Mette-Marit, which was scheduled for August, has been postponed.
Crown Prince Haakon will also not participate in the celebrations marking the 50th wedding anniversary of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, which will take place in June.
In recent months, Mette-Marit’s name has frequently appeared in the media due to high-profile scandals surrounding her eldest son, Marius Borg Gøye, and discussions regarding his ties to individuals involved in high-profile criminal cases.
Earlier, the Norwegian Parliament decided to form an independent investigative commission to thoroughly investigate the contacts between representatives of the country’s political elite and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jeffrey Epstein.
Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit publicly commented on her ties to American financier Jeffrey Epstein, acknowledging that she regrets these contacts and considers herself a victim of manipulation.
