G7 leaders will discuss five points regarding Ukraine and Russia with Trump

At the G7 summit in Evian, European leaders plan to discuss with U.S. President Donald Trump “five key points” for a diplomatic resolution to the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Representatives from France, the United Kingdom, and Germany agreed on these conditions during a meeting in London; they include a ceasefire along the front lines, security guarantees for Ukraine, and the use of frozen Russian assets.

The intensification of diplomatic efforts has been made possible by Ukraine’s strengthened position and Russia’s economic difficulties, which prevent it from achieving victory through military means. At the same time, the most difficult issue for the future four-party negotiation format remains the identification of a single legitimate and effective representative on behalf of all of Europe.

This was reported by the Suspilne TV channel, citing its own sources in the German government.

The G7 summit will take place on June 15–17 in Evian-les-Bains, France. It will be attended by the leaders of the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Japan, and representatives of the European Union. Key topics will also include Russia’s war against Ukraine and relations with China.

U.S. President Donald Trump will participate in the general working session of the G7 countries with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in France, but he does not plan to hold a separate bilateral meeting with the Ukrainian leader

On June 16, U.S. President Donald Trump will join a working meeting of G7 leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as part of the summit in France.
