A woman from Magadan was stripped of her Russian citizenship due to posts she made online
Officers of the Russian Federal Security Service detained a resident of Magadan, accusing her of posing a threat to national security due to her online statements critical of the Russian state.
In a video recording, the detainee states that she was born in Crimea, Ukraine.
However, Russian propaganda outlets present different information in their captions and accompanying texts, claiming that the woman was born in the Sumy region.
Such discrepancies in official data are characteristic of how Russian state media covers such cases.
As a result of the investigation, a decision was made to revoke the woman’s Russian citizenship. She received a Russian passport in 2019 under a simplified procedure intended for residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Now, after being stripped of her citizenship, she has been ordered to leave Russian territory within a specified timeframe.
