Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen responded to the Russian attack on the Bucha district in the Kyiv region, which killed at least 37 people.
In particular, Valtonen noted that the world is once again waking up to news of people killed as a result of Russian strikes in Ukraine, this time in Bucha.
She emphasized that this strike is “a horrific reminder of March 2022 and the mass killings in Bucha.”
“A horrific reminder of March 2022 and the massacre in Bucha. Four years later, Russia has not changed. It continues to deliberately attack the civilian population, violate international law, and pursue maximalist military goals through terror and violence,” the statement reads.
"We stand with the people of Ukraine," Valtonen added.
