Turkey’s Defense Ministry says Houthis pose a threat to the region — Asharq Al-Awsat
Turkey’s Ministry of Defense condemned a drone attack targeting Saudi Arabia last weekend and said that the Houthis’ actions threaten regional stability. The ministry’s position was voiced by its spokesperson, Zeki Aktürk, at a weekly briefing in Ankara.
Condemnation of the attack
According to Aktürk, Turkey’s defense ministry condemns the drone attack on Saudi Arabia, as well as the actions of the Houthis. He stressed that such attempts, which the ministry assesses as threatening the region’s stability, must be stopped as soon as possible.

As Asharq Al-Awsat reports, the spokesperson for Turkey’s Ministry of Defense also said that the persistent threat posed by the Houthis in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait negatively affects not only regional security.
