Morawiecki announced the formation of a new party in Poland

Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced plans to officially establish a new political party called “Development Plus” (Rozwój Plus). Morawiecki himself is set to become the party’s leader.

Morawiecki previously led the Polish government as head of the “Law and Justice” party. The new political party is set to launch a separate political initiative under his leadership.

Morawiecki announced the founding of the new political party “Development Plus,” which he will lead.

“From the very beginning, the leadership (‘PiS’—Ed.) tried to push us out. Now that our membership is ‘dead’—that is, we have been permanently expelled from Law and Justice—I can announce that we will indeed form a political party no later than October 15,” he said.

A convention to officially establish the political party is scheduled for October 15.

Morawiecki stated that this should become a “turning point” for Poland’s political landscape.

Even before the party’s actual founding, opinion polls showed that it already has sufficient support to enter parliament—taking votes away from “PiS.”

This was reported by RMF24.

Morawiecki expressed his readiness to participate in a televised debate with Tusk.

Poland’s former prime minister commented on the scandal and support for Ukraine.
