A drone with unusual markings was found on the Turkish coast
A damaged drone marked with the letter "Y" was discovered on the Turkish coast. Externally, the drone resembles one of the Russian models.
During an inspection, explosives were found inside the drone. Investigators are currently determining the origin of the drone and the circumstances surrounding its appearance on the Turkish coast.
The drone washed ashore between the beaches of Arnavutköy-Karaburun and Çatalca-Ormanlı. Local residents spotted the suspicious object and reported it to the authorities.
Units from the Marmara and Bosphorus Coast Guard, as well as military bomb disposal experts, arrived at the scene. They initially concluded that the device was the wreckage of a kamikaze drone that had crashed upon impact.
During an inspection, the bomb disposal experts discovered an explosive substance on the drone. The area was then cordoned off, and the drone was destroyed in a controlled manner.

Footage released shows that the drone’s fuselage bears the marking “Ы.”
In addition, the drone’s exterior resembles the Russian “Gerbera” drone, which Russia uses as a decoy for air defense systems, as well as for reconnaissance or strike missions.
However, the origin of the drone has not yet been officially confirmed.
