One of the largest private gas station chains in Eastern Siberia—BRK, which operates more than a hundred stations in the Irkutsk Region, Buryatia, and the Trans-Baikal Territory—has announced that it is completely halting gasoline sales to the general public.
As of July 1, the company stopped selling all grades of fuel to individual consumers, citing serious supply issues. The chain stated that suppliers are not fulfilling their contractual obligations, which has led to a shortage of fuel.
According to the company, over the past two months, no gasoline has been delivered to gas stations—neither through exchange channels nor under direct agreements with producers. As a result, it has become impossible to replenish fuel stocks, which forced the company to impose restrictions.
At the same time, BRK noted that the network will continue to supply fuel to socially important institutions, including medical facilities and housing and utilities enterprises.
This is reported by Russian propaganda media.
