The UAE has fully resumed air travel following the threat of attacks from Iran

UA NEWS 02 May 2026 18:59
The UAE has fully resumed air travel following the threat of attacks from Iran

The United Arab Emirates has lifted all airspace restrictions previously imposed in response to Iranian attacks and has returned to normal air traffic operations.

CNN reported this on May 2.

“The United Arab Emirates has lifted all air traffic precautions imposed during the Iranian attacks on the country,” representatives of the UAE General Directorate of Civil Aviation stated.

The authority announced the full resumption of air navigation operations in UAE airspace “following a comprehensive assessment of operational and safety conditions.”

The UAE imposed restrictions on air travel after Iran attacked the country using hundreds of missiles and drones in response to U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets in late February.

Earlier, the UAE had banned its citizens from traveling to three countries.

Prior to this, Israel transferred advanced air defense systems to the United Arab Emirates to strengthen protection against missile and drone attacks from Iran.

The UAE government has also begun preliminary consultations with the United States regarding the provision of emergency financial aid.
