The occupiers want to turn the destroyed museum in Sievierodonetsk into a tourist attraction

The Russian occupation authorities plan to include Sievierodonetsk in a cultural and educational tourist route. Specifically, this refers to the Azot plant museum, which was destroyed during the fighting. The occupiers want to make it part of a tourist route in the occupied territory.

This was stated by Oleksiy Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

What they want to show tourists

The occupiers plan to include the Azot Association’s folk history museum in the route.

At the same time, Kharchenko noted that Russian troops destroyed the museum building back in 2022.

According to him, the building was completely gutted by fire, and the occupying authorities have not carried out any restoration work.

What is known about "Azot"

Before the full-scale war, the Azot Association was one of the largest industrial enterprises in the Luhansk region.

During the fighting for Sievierodonetsk, the plant’s grounds and surrounding infrastructure sustained significant damage.

Despite this, the occupying authorities claim to have plans to develop “tourism and the hospitality sector” in the captured cities.

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces eliminated another 910 Russian occupiers.

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) forces, in coordination with other units of the Defense Forces and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), carried out a successful strike on a Russian facility where UAV crews were being trained, munitions were being produced, and equipment was being repaired.

From the start of the day on May 20 and as of 10:00 p.m., 177 combat engagements were recorded on the front line; in the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 25 enemy attacks.
