UN condemns killing of two Palestinian civilians in the West Bank
The UN has condemned the killing of two Palestinian civilians in the village of Al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank and called on Israeli authorities to prevent further violence and hold those responsible accountable. As Anadolu Agency reports, UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric called the deaths of 19-year-old Omar al-Naasan and 16-year-old Khalil Shehadeh shocking.
Dujarric expressed deep concern over ongoing settler violence against Palestinian civilians, their property and way of life. He said Israeli authorities must fulfill their obligations to ensure that those responsible for violence are held accountable.
Humanitarian situation in Gaza
The UN spokesperson also said that the organization’s teams had collected hundreds of pallets of aid from the Kerem Shalom, or Abu Salem, crossing. The shipments included adult diapers, school backpacks, and food for infants and young children.

The World Health Organization said that since October 2023, the UN and its partners have facilitated the medical evacuation of more than 13,000 patients from Gaza, including over 6,000 children. At the same time, thousands of people continue to urgently require specialized treatment unavailable in the Gaza Strip.
WHO called for the immediate resumption of patient referrals for treatment in the West Bank, including ensuring access to hospitals in East Jerusalem. The organization also insists on allowing ambulances and medical equipment, whose entry is currently restricted, into Gaza.
Situation on the Lebanese border
Dujarric said that the UN Interim Force in Lebanon recorded an increase in violence in August. According to the mission, 84 Israeli shells were recorded on September 2, compared with 56 on September 1. Peacekeepers have not detected any Hezbollah munitions launches since June 21. The UN again called on Israeli forces to leave positions north of the Blue Line, citing violations of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
