Targets in Afghanistan

The ministry claims that the strikes were carried out based on intelligence against camps and hideouts at two locations. Pakistani authorities linked these targets to groups that it refers to in official rhetoric as Fitna al Khawarij, Fitna al Hindustan and their affiliated structures.

Fitna al Khawarij is a term the Pakistani state uses in reference to members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan group. The ministry said maximum measures were taken during the strikes to avoid collateral losses. The ministry also claims that the threat to Pakistan originates from Afghan territory and said it intends to continue the Ghazab lil Haq campaign.
