The Pentagon has warned Iran that hostilities will resume if no agreement is reached — Reuters
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hagset stated that American troops in the Middle East are prepared to resume combat operations if Iran does not agree to a peace deal.
He made the remarks at a briefing on Thursday, April 16, according to Reuters.
Hegset stated that Iran “can choose a successful future” and expressed hope that Tehran “will do so for the sake of the Iranian people.”
"But if Iran chooses the wrong path, then it faces a blockade and the bombing of infrastructure, power grids, and energy facilities," he said.
The Pentagon is urgently reallocating $1.5 billion to purchase interceptor missiles.
European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius stated the need to supply Ukraine with approximately 2,000 anti-ballistic missiles annually due to the modernization of Russian weaponry.
On March 23–24, Russian troops carried out one of the largest attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion, deploying nearly a thousand weapons.
