Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated that Europe will not be able to effectively strengthen its defense capabilities without Ukraine’s participation and the use of its combat experience.
She made this remark during a press conference of leaders from Northern Europe and the Baltic states, attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Frederiksen, Russia continues to test Europe’s readiness to defend itself and respond to provocations. She emphasized that the Kremlin uses disinformation, attempts to sow fear and division among allies, and regularly threatens the Baltic states and NATO.
The prime minister noted that Europe needs to accelerate the process of rearmament and invest in new defense technologies.
“We need new capabilities and innovations right now, because innovation is what determines the outcome on the battlefield. We see this in Ukraine every day,” she said.
Frederiksen emphasized that Ukraine’s experience is crucial for strengthening the security of the entire European continent.
“Europe cannot rearm effectively without Ukraine. And our support for Ukraine is not charity; it is self-defense,” the Danish prime minister emphasized.
