Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 over the Baltic Sea
Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft that was flying over the Baltic Sea and posed a threat to civilian aviation.
The incident occurred approximately 40 km north of Ustka. According to Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Russian aircraft did not have its identification devices activated.
However, the Russian aircraft did not violate Polish airspace.
“Another incident over the Baltic Sea involving a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
