Prime Minister Netanyahu Accuses Mayor Mamdani of Supporting Hamas — Jerusalem Post
Ahead of his planned address to the UN General Assembly in New York, United States, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani of supporting Hamas and inciting riots against the city’s Jews. Netanyahu published a video address containing these statements on the social network X, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Netanyahu’s statement ahead of UN address
“Shame on you, Mr. Mamdani. Shame on you for supporting the terrorist monsters of Hamas, who brutally murdered our people. Shame on you for inciting riots against the Jews of New York,” the Israeli prime minister said.
Netanyahu also said that he would come to the UN and tell the “truth” about the Israeli military and Mamdani. According to the publication, the Israeli prime minister is expected to arrive in New York on Thursday morning, address the UN General Assembly at 2:00 p.m., and return to Israel shortly afterward.
Netanyahu’s original plan for his visit to the United States envisaged staying in the country for several days, as well as traveling to Texas and meeting with US President Donald Trump.

New York mayor’s position
Netanyahu’s statement came after Mamdani’s interview with CNN, which aired on Monday. The New York mayor again stated that the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Netanyahu must be enforced.
Mamdani called Netanyahu a “war criminal” and the “architect of a horrific genocide of the Palestinian people.” In July, he said that he had explored the possibility of arresting the Israeli prime minister based on the ICC warrant, but concluded several days later that he could not legally do so. At the same time, Mamdani said that Netanyahu was “not welcome” in New York.
In his conversation with CNN, the mayor stressed that, in his view, no one should be above accountability if the ICC considers a person to be someone for whom an arrest warrant should be issued for violating the relevant laws.
