The President of Lithuania has approved the new cabinet
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has approved the full composition of the new government formed by Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on July 6.
The new Cabinet of Ministers is the 21st government in the history of independent Lithuania. The next step will be the presentation of the government’s program to the Seimas, after which lawmakers must vote to approve it. Only then will the new government be able to fully assume its duties.
The formation of the new Cabinet took place after Mindaugas Sinkevičius assumed the leadership of the government and submitted the nominations for ministerial positions to the president.
