President Zelenskyy calls at the UN to stop trading with Russia — The Guardian
As The Guardian reports, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, during the UN General Assembly, called on world leaders to de-escalate Russia’s war against Ukraine and stop trading with the Russian Federation, an aggressor state. He also called on partners to continue reducing Russian revenues and hindering Moscow’s war effort.
Pressure on Russian revenues
According to the publication, Zelenskyy stressed the need to maintain pressure on Russia’s sources of income. This concerned further limiting Russia’s revenues and countering its ability to continue military operations.
The call to stop trading with Russia was one of the main messages of the Ukrainian president’s address to the General Assembly. At the same time, he urged other leaders to continue measures aimed at reducing Moscow’s revenues.

Readiness for winter
Zelenskyy said that Ukrainians are prepared for a very harsh winter. He added that Ukraine is ready to respond to any further Russian attacks in order to make the cold months painful for Moscow as well.
Russia’s foreign minister is due to speak at the UN on Saturday.
