Putin backed Kadyrov's nomination for another term
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin met with Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov at the Kremlin and expressed his support for Kadyrov’s participation in the upcoming elections.
This was reported by the press service of the Russian president.
During the conversation, Putin expressed hope that the republic’s residents would support Kadyrov in the elections scheduled for September.
Kadyrov has led Chechnya since 2007.
