Putin said that Ukraine and Russia have contacts at the intelligence agency level
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow continues to maintain contact with Kyiv. According to him, most of the interaction between the two sides takes place through the intelligence services. Putin made these remarks during a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum 2026, noting that such contacts between Ukraine and Russia “do indeed exist.”
“These contacts do exist. They are continuing in this very manner, primarily through the special services,” the dictator said.
At the same time, Putin said it was difficult for him to say to what extent these ties are contributing to the achievement of a tentative bilateral agreement.
This was reported with reference to Russian propaganda media.
Putin claimed two fictitious victories for Russia.
