United Russia's approval rating has fallen by a third in six months to 16% — intelligence report

Electoral support for Russia’s ruling party, “United Russia,” has plummeted. In just the last six months, this political party’s approval rating has fallen by nearly a third—from 23% to 16%.

According to recent opinion polls, 22.3% of citizens of the aggressor country have categorically stated that under no circumstances will they vote for Putin’s party in the upcoming September elections.

Ukrainian intelligence experts emphasize that this is currently the highest disapproval rating among all political forces in the Russian Federation.

The Kremlin is well aware of the critical nature of the current situation and is attempting to artificially mitigate the consequences of its electoral failure.

The Russian authorities have developed a strategy based not on attracting new supporters, but on minimizing the population’s interest in political processes as much as possible.

“The Kremlin understands this situation and is banking not on convincing Russian voters to support them, but on ensuring that they do not turn out to vote at all. Lower turnout means fewer problems for the ruling party. Political strategists call this ‘drying out’: the campaign should be as boring, inconspicuous, and meaningless as possible,” the intelligence report noted.

In an effort to halt the further decline in their approval ratings, representatives of the ruling party have begun publicly denying their involvement in the passage of harsh laws.

In particular, they are trying to distance themselves from playing a key role in the introduction of internet censorship, mass blocking, and restrictions on freedoms in the digital sphere.

Russian lawmakers are now manipulatively claiming that the restrictive measures were adopted by mutual agreement among various parliamentary factions.

However, the facts suggest otherwise, as it was representatives of the ruling party who authored and lobbied for the most radical repressive initiatives.

This is reported in analytical data from the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
