Rutte noted that arms deliveries to Ukraine are continuing

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that arms deliveries to Ukraine are continuing and are supported by both the United States and European allies. He also noted that Ukraine will continue to receive American weapons, which will be funded by partners, despite the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made this statement after a meeting in the "Ramstein" format, according to a report citing the European Parliament.

Rutte was asked whether he had received clear assurances from the U.S. side that the United States would continue to prioritize supplies to Ukraine rather than diverting certain types of weapons to its own stockpiles.

"The good news is that supplies are continuing, and that there is an understanding on both sides of the Atlantic that we must accomplish two tasks at once.

That is, to replenish our stockpiles—because this is a problem not only for the U.S. but also for Europe—to ramp up defense production, and at the same time, to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs in the fight. So there is agreement on this from both sides of the Atlantic," he replied.

TheNATO Secretary General will visit Prague on April 16.

Rutte will participate in the Ramstein meeting in Berlin.

Rutte stated that Ukraine needs $60 billion in defense aid.

During a closed-door meeting at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump sharply expressed his dissatisfaction with the position of European allies and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding the situation surrounding the conflict with Iran.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the issue of Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance will not be resolved in the near future. Even despite active negotiations and Ukraine’s aspirations, a quick accession should not be expected. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists at the Ronald Reagan Institute.
