Saakashvili is creating an AI avatar to communicate with people despite his imprisonment

On August 3, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili announced the completion of work on an AI-based digital avatar. According to him, the technology will allow him to communicate with the public despite being in custody.

Saakashvili said the digital doppelganger will replicate his appearance, voice, and gestures. The project is currently in its final stages of development, and the avatar is expected to be used for public communication in the near future.

“My AI-based avatar is already in the final stages of development,” Saakashvili said during his court appearance.

The former president noted that he views this project as a way to maintain his presence in the public sphere despite his physical isolation. According to him, the digital twin will be used to disseminate messages, communicate with supporters, and participate in public discussions on his behalf.

Earlier, Saakashvili made a sensational statement about the future of Odesa.

Prior to that, Saakashvili recalled the rector of Kyiv National University’s refusal to let him into his alma mater’s building.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Bugrov, rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, previously refused to allow the land of the College of Georesource Exploration Technologies to be used for development, which placed him at the center of a scandal. The plot, covering about three hectares, is attractive to developers, but the rector emphasizes that destroying educational infrastructure for the sake of profit is unacceptable.
