Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Sunday, during the second day of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, India, that Beijing intends to help other member countries develop and apply artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing technologies.

One of the two initiatives he named is support for the development and application of open-source large language models. The other provides assistance in building smart manufacturing factories in BRICS countries.
