The U.S. is bolstering its military presence in the Middle East amid a possible escalation of the conflict with Iran.
According to The Washington Post, special operations units have already been deployed to the region, and air forces have been placed on high alert.
According to U.S. officials, fighter jets have been deployed to bases throughout the Middle East, and strategic bombers in the U.S. and the U.K. are ready to carry out combat missions at short notice. In addition, more than 150 medical personnel have been sent to the Landstuhl Military Medical Center in Germany.
