The U.S. has once again struck a drug-trafficking vessel in the Pacific Ocean
The U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced an operation against a vessel linked to drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
This was reported by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) on social media.
On May 27, the Southern Spear Combined Task Force carried out a “lethal kinetic strike” against a vessel used by organizations designated as terrorist groups.
According to intelligence, the vessel was traveling along known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and was involved in illicit drug trafficking operations.
“On May 27, at the direction of SOUTHCOM Commander General Francis L. Donovan, the Southern Spear Combined Task Force carried out a lethal kinetic strike against a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations. Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was transiting known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and was involved in drug trafficking operations,” SOUTHCOM stated.
It is also reported that two “drug terrorists” were killed as a result of the strike.
At the same time, U.S. Southern Command emphasized that no U.S. service members were harmed during the operation.

Earlier, the United States Southern Command reported carrying out a strike on a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean. According to the U.S. military, two people, referred to in the statement as “drug terrorists,” were killed as a result of the operation.
