Sturmer spoke of growing tensions in relations with the United States
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that tensions in allied relations, particularly with the United States, are currently higher than they should be.

Starmer noted that some partnerships on which London relies are not in the state that allies had expected.
He emphasized that more tension than necessary has built up within the alliances, and this must be acknowledged.
The prime minister also stressed that Europe should increase defense spending, as the continent has long lagged behind in this area.
Separately, he stated the need to strengthen the European component within NATO.
