Closed hearings
Hearings in the case began at the end of July and are being held behind closed doors. The court made this decision after granting the prosecution’s relevant request, Cyprus Mail reports.

More than ten prosecution witnesses have testified so far. Most of them are police investigators and experts. Three witnesses testified during the previous hearing.
Five charges
Phedonas Phedonos faces five charges related to rape, indecent assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and administering a drug or substance capable of reducing a person’s resistance. He pleaded not guilty to all five charges.
