U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States is prepared to continue military strikes against Tehran if the Iranian government rejects the terms of a new peace agreement.

This was reported by Reuters.

At the same time, the American leader noted that he is willing to wait a few more days to receive constructive proposals from the other side.

The situation between the two countries is currently on the verge of a critical escalation.

Speaking to media representatives at Joint Base Andrews, the U.S. president emphasized that events could unfold very rapidly.

“Believe me, if we don’t get the right answers, this will end very quickly. We are all ready to go,” the White House chief warned.

When asked by journalists about the exact timeline, Donald Trump replied that it “could take a few days.”

The American leader once again confirmed his unwavering determination to completely block Tehran’s path to building a nuclear arsenal.

“We are in the final stages of Iran’s development. We’ll see what happens. Either we’ll reach an agreement, or we’re going to do some things that will be a little unpleasant, but I hope that doesn’t happen,” the U.S. president stated.

He also added an important humanitarian aspect: “Ideally, I would like as few people as possible to die, not many. We can do that in any case.”

Tehran immediately responded to Washington’s ultimatum and warned the U.S. against resuming any hostilities.

“If aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will this time extend beyond the region,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officially declared.

At the same time, the Iranian leadership announced the creation of the “Persian Gulf Command” to establish strict control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The day before, U.S. President Donald Trump announced significant progress in negotiations with Tehran, noting that as part of a potential agreement, Iran could transfer its highly enriched uranium to the United States.

At the same time, Trump once again repeated the threats he has been making in recent weeks: “If they agree, it’s all over, and if not—we’ll bomb them.”
