Trump is preparing a new strategy for the Middle East following the war with Iran
The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is developing a new postwar strategy for the Middle East, which is intended to shape Washington’s policy following the end of the war with Iran and for the final two years of Trump’s presidential term.
According to Axios, the document is still in the early stages of development. It may take several more weeks to finalize.
High-ranking political advisers and experts from various U.S. agencies are working on the strategy.
The main idea is to integrate key processes in the Middle East into a single system and form a kind of regional alliance once the war ends.
At the same time, it is not yet known whether all U.S. allies will agree to support this approach.
According to the publication, Trump’s plan consists of three main components.
The first is the creation of a bloc of U.S. allies to contain Iran, in which Washington will act as the guarantor of security.
The second is the continued implementation of Trump’s plan for Gaza, as well as the conclusion of a security agreement between Israel and Syria and the implementation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
The third pillar involves expanding the “Abraham Accords” and concluding an agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Thus, the Trump administration seeks to establish a long-term architecture of security and diplomatic relations in the Middle East, with the U.S. remaining at its center.
The development of this new strategy comes amid a sharp escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.
Earlier, the Iranian armed forces announced the launch of a series of missile and drone strikes against U.S. military facilities in countries across the region following a new wave of U.S. attacks on Iranian territory.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that these strikes were in response to recent U.S. attacks, particularly those targeting areas in southern Iran.
According to the IRGC, Iranian missiles and drones attacked U.S. bases and facilities throughout the region.
Against this backdrop, Washington is trying to define a new model of regional policy to be implemented once hostilities with Iran have ended.

In the U.S., American intelligence agencies believe that six months of war may not have weakened, but rather strengthened Iran’s confidence in its ability to withstand pressure from Washington and continue the conflict. Dawn reports this, citing a New York Times article and individuals familiar with the intelligence assessments.
The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Turkey’s Golden Global Investment Bank and its subsidiaries. Officials in Washington stated that the bank helped conduct financial transactions worth tens of millions of dollars for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad stated that the country is employing various strategies to circumvent the U.S. oil embargo, which, according to him, President Donald Trump reinstated in mid-July.
