Trump said there is a high probability of a deal with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington is in talks with Tehran and sees a high probability of reaching an agreement with Iran. He also assured that he has enough time and patience to reach an agreement.
According to “Ukrainska Pravda,” citing “European Pravda,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that Iran “asked for a meeting.” He said this would not have happened if “things were going badly for us.”
Responding to a question about his patience regarding the situation, the U.S. president stated: “I have a lot of patience. I have a lot of time. A lot of time.”

Trump described the contacts between the U.S. and Iran as “good talks” and left open the possibility of a deal. “I think there’s a good chance something could happen. And if it happens, great; if not, we’ll go back to what we were doing two days ago,” he said, hinting at a resumption of airstrikes against Iran.
Earlier, Trump stated that he had decided to suspend U.S. strikes on Iran to give the negotiations another chance. At the same time, Iran publicly insists that it is not currently engaged in negotiations with the United States.
