U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the shooting at the Washington Hilton, responding to reporters' questions about how he felt during the incident. He said he did not feel afraid.

This was reported by CBS News.

“I wasn’t worried. I understand life. We live in a crazy world,” he said during a conversation with the press.

Trump also mentioned First Lady Melania Trump’s reaction. According to him, she looked alarmed when the shots rang out and panic ensued.

“Of course, I mean, who wouldn’t be scared in a situation like that? At that point, I think she realized right away that it was a bullet rather than a tray. And she was (alarmed — ed.),” he added.

The president also noted that during the incident, he was curious to understand exactly what was happening.

“I wanted to see what was happening... Wait a minute, wait a minute. Let me take a look,” Trump said, describing his exchange with security guards during the evacuation.

In the U.S., the identity of the suspect in the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump has been established. He turned out to be 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen of Torrance, California.
