Trump said that a highway in Morocco will be named after him

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a 1,055-kilometer highway in Morocco, which runs through Western Sahara, will be named after him

According to him, this will serve as recognition of the U.S. decision in 2020 to support Morocco’s sovereignty over the disputed region.

Trump posted a video of the future highway on the social media platform Truth Social. The road connects the cities of Dakhla and Tiznit and is part of a large-scale infrastructure project worth about $1 billion.

However, Moroccan officials have not yet confirmed that the highway will indeed be named after the U.S. president.

U.S. President Donald Trump is considering three possible scenarios for the conflict with Iran, seeking to end the military confrontation as quickly as possible. The options include an escalation of hostilities, increased economic pressure on Tehran, or a declaration of U.S. victory followed by withdrawal from the conflict.

The U.S. has postponed a planned large-scale military operation against Iran due to a shortage of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense systems. According to The Wall Street Journal, the shortage of air defense resources was one of the key factors influencing Washington’s decision to suspend potential strikes.
