Trump Admits How He Actually Made His Fortune During His Presidency — Reuters

U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly commented on journalists’ questions regarding his financial situation during his time in office. He essentially sidestepped the topic of his millions, but his response contained an important detail that immediately caught the media’s attention.

Trump explained the reason for his wealth

Trump stated on July 1 that he has nothing to do with his personal finances. Although just the day before, he had reported a profit of over $1.4 billion from his family’s cryptocurrency projects.

The U.S. president noted that the reason for the wealth of many Americans is the growth of the U.S. stock market.

“I don’t interfere… We have funds that manage my money,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews as he prepared to depart for North Dakota.

What’s in Trump’s disclosure

The U.S. president’s annual financial disclosure for 2025, filed with the Office of Government Ethics, revealed his company’s earnings. This includes nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial—a cryptocurrency firm co-founded by Trump’s sons.

The president shares the proceeds with family members:

  • over $520 million from the sale of cryptocurrency tokens,

  • over $250 million from the sale of shares in World Liberty.

“You know why I’m making a profit? Because the stock market is rising; everyone is making a profit,” Trump remarked.

This was reported by Reuters.

Trump gave a positive assessment of the U.S.-Iran talks.

Indirect technical talks between U.S. and Iranian representatives are ongoing in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Qatar and Pakistan are acting as mediators in the talks. This was reported by Reuters, citing a source familiar with the progress of the negotiations.
