Turkish Airlines carried 64 million passengers in eight months — Anadolu Agency
In Türkiye, Turkish Airlines carried 64 million passengers from January to August 2026, 5.4% more than in the same period last year. Anadolu Agency reports, citing data disclosed by the carrier on Türkiye’s Public Disclosure Platform.
International and domestic flights
The number of passengers on international flights rose by 6.1% year on year to 41.8 million. Domestic passenger traffic increased by 4.3% to 22.2 million people.
Turkish Airlines’ passenger load factor for the first eight months of the year increased to 84.7%, compared with 82.7% a year earlier. It stood at 84.5% on international flights and 86.5% on domestic flights.

The number of destinations served by the airline increased from 353 to 358. Its fleet grew by 13%, from 501 to 566 aircraft.
August figures
In August, the airline carried 10 million passengers, 5.6% more than in the same month of 2025. International passenger traffic rose by 5% to 6.4 million people, while domestic traffic increased by 6.8% to 3.6 million.
Flight load factor in August reached 88%, compared with 86.6% a year earlier. The figure was 87.6% on international routes and 91.3% on domestic routes.
