In Berlin, Iranian Prince Reza Pahlavi was doused with a red liquid
An incident occurred in Berlin involving Reza Pahlavi, the heir to the Iranian royal dynasty, who lives in exile. He was doused with a red liquid after a press conference.
This was reported by the AP.
According to reports, the incident took place near the German Federal Press Center. Pahlavi had just finished a speech in which he criticized the truce between the U.S. and Iran when an unknown assailant doused him with a liquid substance. It landed on the back of his jacket and his neck.
According to police, it was likely tomato juice. The attacker was immediately detained at the scene.
After the incident, Pahlavi waved to his supporters and left the scene by car.
Reza Pahlavi, 65, is the son of Iran’s last shah, who was ousted during the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Living in exile, he positions himself as a potential political figure for Iran’s future, although the level of his support within the country remains unclear.
