Epstein kept women in London apartments after the police refused to investigate the case, according to the BBC
Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein rented several apartments in upscale neighborhoods of London and held women there who later reported being assaulted, after British police decided in 2015 not to open an investigation.
This was reported by the BBC.
There are at least four apartments in the Kensington and Chelsea areas. According to journalists, these properties housed women who were brought to the UK from various countries, including Eastern Europe and Russia.
The investigation materials, including emails, receipts, and bank records, indicate that some of the women reported sexual abuse and coercion into participating in the exploitation scheme. It is also alleged that Epstein forced some women to recruit others.
According to the BBC, some of the victims were transported between London and Paris, notably on Eurostar trains. Journalists found that Epstein continued to purchase tickets for young women until his arrest in 2019, and some of the trips took place after Virginia Giuffre’s first public complaint in 2015.
In total, it is reported that at least 53 tickets were purchased between 2011 and 2019 to transport women between France and the United Kingdom.
The London Police stated that they acted in accordance with existing procedures and cooperated with U.S. investigators, as well as repeatedly questioning the complainant.
At the same time, lawyers and human rights advocates have voiced criticism, emphasizing that in the presence of signs of human trafficking, the state was obligated to conduct a full investigation regardless of the victims’ statements.
Former detectives note that the investigation could have used data on travel, banking transactions, and ticket bookings to identify the circle of individuals involved and potential accomplices.
As a reminder, the U.S. Department of Justice faced significant pressure and the launch of internal audits following serious errors during the release of the document archive in the case of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Following the release of Epstein’s archives, his victims once again feel betrayed
One of the most sensational scandals in the modern history of the monarchy has erupted in Norway. New documents from the Jeffrey Epstein case revealed years of personal correspondence between Crown Princess Mette-Marit and a man who later became a symbol of global sexual abuse.
In the U.S., the Jeffrey Epstein case is back in the spotlight following the release of a photo showing former President Bill Clinton in a hot tub with other people.
Two months before Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest in 2019, a witness told investigators that he deliberately sought out underage girls and even checked their IDs. This is detailed in newly released documents.
