A military cemetery in the Chelyabinsk Region of Russia was flooded due to a lack of drainage
In the city of Troitsk in Russia’s Chelyabinsk Oblast, a row of graves belonging to Russian soldiers who fought in the war against Ukraine has been flooded.
This is reported by local media.
Relatives of the deceased claim that the burial site has turned into a veritable pond due to the lack of proper drainage.
According to local residents, the flooding has been occurring for the second year in a row. People are complaining about the inaction of local authorities and have reported filing complaints with the prosecutor’s office. Residents of the region emphasize the need to install a drainage system or implement other solutions to divert the water.
The Troitsk administration stated that they have the situation under control and plan to submit the issue of funding the work for consideration by deputies. Later, officials clarified that they had already organized the drainage of meltwater—a ditch was dug along the road, thanks to which the water level began to drop.
