In Hamburg, 14 people were injured in a hotel fire
A fire broke out this morning at a hotel near the main train station in Hamburg, Germany, injuring 14 people.
According to emergency services, one person suffered serious injuries, while the others sustained minor injuries.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight in the basement of a building located across from the central bus station. The fire and heavy smoke spread quickly, preventing hotel guests from leaving the building on their own.
Rescue workers used fire ladders to evacuate people.
Approximately 160 emergency personnel participated in extinguishing the fire and dealing with its aftermath. Police have not yet reported the cause of the fire or the extent of property damage.
The street in front of the hotel was temporarily closed, and public transportation was forced to take detours.

An Italian tourist died as a result of the tragedy, and about 1,700 other people had to be evacuated urgently. The fire spread rapidly, and its consequences were devastating.
