In Canada, the Parliament and the Prime Minister’s Office in Ottawa were illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

The Peace Tower of the Parliament of Canada in Ottawa, as well as the office of the Prime Minister, were lit up in blue and yellow as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine.

The corresponding photos were published on Facebook by the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada.

“On the eve of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale military invasion, Canada’s Parliament and the Prime Minister’s Office are illuminated in Ukraine’s national colors. This is not only a symbol, but a clear expression of unwavering support,” the statement reads.

The diplomatic mission emphasized that from the very first days of the invasion, Canada “has been a true friend and reliable partner.”

“Canadians from across the country have demonstrated exceptional solidarity by providing humanitarian and military assistance, welcoming displaced Ukrainians, and speaking out firmly through Canadian civil society,” the embassy noted.

It is worth noting that, according to established practice, the illumination of Canada’s Parliament building is not usually used to commemorate events or dates. However, exceptions have repeatedly been made for Ukraine.
