Record cloisonné zun unveiled in China — ECNS
In Qianxi County, Hebei Province in northern China, the copper square zun Shengshi Five-Ram Zun was certified as the world’s largest zun made using the cloisonné enamel technique. ECNS reports.
Dimensions of the piece
The Shengshi Five-Ram Zun is 7.2 meters high and weighs 3.68 metric tonnes. The piece was created by four masters recognized as national-level bearers of China’s intangible cultural heritage.
The certification took place at Hebei Jinxi Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. in Qianxi County. Guinness World Records adjudicator Yang Shaopeng presented the certificate at the ceremony.

Inspired by a museum exhibit
The new zun was created based on the Four-Ram Zun, an artifact from the collection of the National Museum of China. The Shengshi Five-Ram Zun composition includes a dynamic figure of a ram in flight, seasonal scenes on its four sides, and a base.
A China News Service photo caption states that the largest cloisonné zun was unveiled in Qianxi County on September 19, 2026.
