Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian Federation’s dictator, commented on Russia’s recent threats regarding possible attacks on Kyiv. According to him, “systematic” strikes refer to regular airstrikes, but this does not mean they will take place on a daily basis. This is how the Kremlin explained its previous statements about a possible intensification of strikes on the Ukrainian capital.
This is reported by Russian media.
The Kremlin representative attempted to explain the logic of the aggressor country’s military leadership regarding the shelling of Kyiv’s civilian and critical infrastructure. According to him, regularity and daily occurrence are different concepts.
“Systematic does not mean periodic; it is not the same as periodic,” said the Kremlin spokesperson, responding to a question about whether the Russian Foreign Ministry’s statement threatening new strikes on targets in Kyiv meant they would be daily.
Peskov said they were aware of “certain official statements from European capitals” and EU representatives in Kyiv, but for the Kremlin, the priority remains “the warning we issued.”
