Reasons and cost of repairs
According to LVC, steel corrosion damaged the bridge's lower chord, affecting its load-bearing capacity. In addition, a beam was damaged in an accident, which also affected the structure's load-bearing capacity.
The damaged structures will be reinforced with new steel elements. The repair work costs EUR 1,996,855.91. The work is being carried out by Binders, while construction supervision is provided by BPU&IngWay.
