Latvia expects strong winds, rain and cooler weather on Thursday
Latvia is expected to see cooler weather, strong winds and intermittent rain on Thursday. According to LSM English, the maximum air temperature will range from +15 to +18 °C.
Rain and possible thunderstorms
Precipitation is forecast across the country. Brief heavy downpours are possible in some places. In the second half of the day, thunderstorms may occur in some areas of Kurzeme and Vidzeme.
Strong southwesterly and westerly winds will prevail. In Kurzeme, northwesterly winds will also blow during the day. The forecast calls for windy and cooler weather in different parts of Latvia.

Gusts up to 20 metres per second
In most of the country, wind gusts will reach 12–17 metres per second. Along the Kurzeme coast, they may strengthen to 18–20 metres per second.
Weather in Riga
Intermittent rain is also forecast in Riga, although the sun will appear from time to time. Gusty southwesterly and westerly winds are expected in the capital. The maximum air temperature in Riga will be around +17 °C.
