A large-scale police operation is underway in Monaco to locate the suspect in an explosion that injured sanctioned Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev and members of his family.
Law enforcement agencies in the principality, with the support of the French gendarmerie, are conducting an intensive search operation, deploying two helicopters and special units.
According to preliminary reports, the perpetrator left a package containing an explosive device in the lobby of a building located on Italian Boulevard.
Immediately after the device was activated, the bomber hurried toward the neighboring commune of Bosolei, where investigators have so far been unable to trace his subsequent route.
Although the suspect’s face was partially concealed, his actions were captured by numerous surveillance cameras installed along his escape route.
Detectives are now analyzing these video recordings in detail and interviewing witnesses who may have been near the scene at the time of the assassination attempt on Vadim Yermolayev.
Prince Albert II of Monaco has officially stated that all available law enforcement agencies are involved in the search.
The operation is being conducted in close coordination with French counterparts to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the attempt on the life of Vadim Yermolayev and his family as quickly as possible.
