Another body found at Ile-Ife motor park in Nigeria
Police in Nigeria’s Osun State have found another body at Mayfair Motor Park in the city of Ile-Ife. This happened the day after Accord party member Olalekan Oyeyemi, known as Emir Ajagungbade, was shot dead during violence at the same motor park.
The body was taken to the morgue
According to Premium Times Nigeria, the body was found on Monday when law enforcement officers arrived at the motor park to enforce the state authorities’ order suspending the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers of Nigeria (NURTW) throughout Osun.
Police did not disclose the identity of the deceased or the circumstances of the death. State police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi said that the body had been taken to the morgue and that the case had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

Investigation into the violence
Ojelabi called on people whose names are mentioned in connection with the violence to report to the nearest police station rather than explain their position on social media. According to him, the police commissioner promised to find everyone involved and ensure they are held accountable regardless of their status.
The source links the violence at the motor park to a dispute over leadership and control of transport facilities in Ile-Ife. Oyeyemi was an associate of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, was involved in the transport sector and in attempts to resolve the leadership crisis in the NURTW. The circumstances of his killing are still under investigation.
