Pro-Palestinian demonstrators held a protest near the headquarters of public broadcaster France TV in Paris. They demanded that a recording of an episode of the France 5 program “La Grande Librairie” featuring French actress Adèle Haenel be returned to the website.

Demand to restore the recording

The protest, called by EuroPalestine, was held after the recording of the episode was removed from the France TV website. Protest participants accused the broadcaster of censorship and demanded that access to the program be restored. One of the demonstrators read out Haenel’s statements outside the building.

On their placards, the protesters conveyed her position, including accusations that Israel is committing genocide in Palestine and that France is complicit. Other slogans called for an end to censorship, the restoration of the recording of the program featuring Haenel, and included the phrase that silence kills.
