Three Ukrainians were beaten in Poland: the consulate is monitoring the case
The Consulate General of Ukraine in Wrocław is monitoring reports of an attack on three Ukrainian citizens in the town of Kożuchów, Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland. Polish law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the incident and its possible motives.
According to “Ukrainska Pravda,” “Evropeiska Pravda,” citing a statement from the diplomatic mission, noted that the consulate is in contact with the victims and the relevant authorities. The diplomatic mission stated its readiness to provide the necessary consular assistance to Ukrainian citizens within the scope of its authority.
“The Consulate General of Ukraine strongly condemns any manifestations of hatred, violence, and aggression,” the consulate stated. Ukrainians in Poland were also urged to remain calm, not to succumb to possible provocations, and to immediately contact the police and the Consulate General in the event of any unlawful actions.

According to the victims, who spoke with a journalist from inPoland.net.pl, the incident occurred on August 1 at approximately 9:25 p.m. on the grounds of a hostel where Ukrainians are staying. Three Ukrainians were relaxing near a parked car from which, according to them, Ukrainian, Polish, and foreign music was playing.
One of the victims said that a man walking past the group took notice of the music. A verbal altercation ensued between him and another victim. According to the publication’s source, one of the attackers shouted, “Go back to Ukraine!” He later returned with a group of men, after which a fight broke out.
On August 2, the victims gave statements to the police. According to them, law enforcement officers photographed their injuries and compiled the case file. They also informed investigators about a private surveillance camera on a neighboring building, which, in their opinion, might have captured the moment of the attack. The police have not officially reported on the circumstances of the incident, its possible motives, or details regarding the arrest of those involved.
