Poland has responded regarding negotiations with the U.S. on nuclear weapons

Poland is not currently discussing with the United States the issue of deploying U.S. nuclear weapons on its territory. Officials in Warsaw emphasize that such decisions are not on the agenda.

This was reported by Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Zalewski.

According to Zalevski, Poland is engaged in intensive negotiations with the U.S. on military issues, but these primarily concern nuclear deterrence rather than a program for the joint use of nuclear weapons:

“We are not discussing the deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland with the Americans. We are discussing how to create better conditions for nuclear deterrence. Poland is to play a key role in this. Once again: we are not talking about nuclear weapons in Poland,” the deputy minister said on Polish Radio.

As a reminder, Poland warnedRussia of the consequences of strikes on diplomatic missions in Kyiv.

Poland has receivedpreliminary approval from the U.S. to produce missiles for the Patriot system.

The U.S. will provide Poland with a $2 billion loan to purchase weapons: F-35 fighter jets, Patriot air defense systems, and Abrams tanks.

Earlier, Poland signed an agreement with the U.S. to supply 96 AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters, along with a logistics and training package, for a total of $10 billion.
